Field Sketchbook

The works in this gallery are simple field sketches executed rapidly and often on the move when walking the Pembrokeshire "Coastal Path".

Most are black and white sketches in pencil, pen & ink, or charcoal. Sometimes colour is introduced using coloured watercolour pencils, oil pastel, or soft pastel. All are intended as preparatory works to inspire further exploitation of their subjects. In some cases they have led to the completion of more major works. Others form a fund of ideas to be exploited in the future
